Kenya safari

Kenya Safari: Tsavo East National Park is one of the oldest and largest parks in Kenya at 13,747 square kilometers. Situated in a semi-arid area previously known as the Taru Desert it opened in April 1948, and is located near the town of Voi in the Taita-Taveta County of the former Coast Province. Tsavo West National Park is located in the Coast Province of Kenya. The park covers an area of 9,065 square kilometres. The A109 road Nairobi-Mombasa and a railway divides it from the adjoining Tsavo East National Park. Together with adjoining ranches and protected areas, they comprise the Tsavo Conservation Area.


Day 1. Diani Beach – Tsavo East – Kenya safari

You will be picked from Mombasa at 6:30am or from Diani at 6:00am and drive to Tsavo East National Park arriving in good time for the mid morning game drive. Lunch at the Lodge while watching animals at the water hole. After lunch proceed with game drive from 4.00pm until 6.30pm with chances of seeing some of the big 5 and many other animals.

You will observe the large herds of Red Elephants (Red due to red dust of Tsavo) There are also about 500 species of birds, including the ostrich, and migratory birds like kestrels and buzzards. Diner and overnight at Voi Safari Lodge

Day 2. TSAVO EAST – TSAVO WEST – Kenya Safari

Today you will have an early morning game drive at 6:30 am until 8:00 am time for breakfast. After breakfast you will check out of the lodge and depart for Tsavo west National Park, arriving in time for a short game drive en-route to the lodge for lunch. After lunch proceed with game drive from 3:30pm until 6.30pm. Animals include the leopard, cheetah, buffalo, rhino, elephant, giraffe, zebra, lion, crocodile, mongoose, hyrax, dik dik and porcupine.

The Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary is another safe haven for rhinos. Finally, the park offers excellent views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Diner and Overnight at the Kilaguni Serena Lodge

Day 3. TSAVO WEST – MOMBASA – Kenya Safari

Early morning game drive at 6:30am followed by a breakfast at 8:00am. After breakfast drive to Mzima Springs, a water pool where you can view Crocodiles, hippos and fish from this fresh water springs from mount Kilimanjaro. Then drive to Mombasa with lunch on route. Arriving Mombasa in the afternoon. You will be dropped off at the hotel .
